Deferrals/Transfers

If you need to postpone for any reason, we do offer the option of a one-time deferral. This allows you to transfer to a future program start date. This can only be granted once, regardless of whether you are taking a single class or the full certificate.

Deferral Fees

  • If you make your request at least 2 weeks before the session start date, there is no fee.
  • If your request is made less than 2 weeks before, you will be charged a $250 transfer fee.

To Request a Deferral

If you are enrolled in an upcoming session and need to defer for any reason, please submit your request in writing via email to paula.varney@vanderbilt.edu.

Withdrawals

If you need to cancel your registration for any reason, you must submit your request in writing via email to paula.varney@vanderbilt.edu.

Withdrawal Timing Refund Policy
More than 2 weeks before start date Full refund
2 weeks before the start date to one week after start date A fee of 25 percent will be charged
More than one week after start date No refund will be given
